Putin, Saudi Crown Prince Pledge to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

(MENAFN) Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) agreed on Tuesday to continue deepening cooperation across political, trade, economic, and humanitarian areas, according to reports.

The leaders held the call ahead of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Saudi Arabia on February 19.

"It is noted with satisfaction that bilateral relations have reached a high level, acquired a truly multifaceted and mutually beneficial nature," the statement said.

Putin and MBS also highlighted progress in joint efforts within the "OPEC+" framework to maintain stability in the global energy market.

The leaders additionally discussed various international and regional issues and agreed to remain in contact.
