Kremlin Says US Envoys Have Not Yet Briefed Russia on Talks With Zelenskyy

(MENAFN) The Kremlin said on Tuesday that US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, adviser and son-in-law of President Donald Trump, have not yet passed on details to Moscow regarding their recent discussions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to reports.

Speaking to journalists during a briefing, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that communication channels between Russia and the United States remain active, with Washington continuing to engage both Moscow and Kyiv.

Peskov also noted that US mediation efforts in relation to the Russia-Ukraine conflict are currently on pause, adding that a phone call between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is not currently planned.

He added that while such conversations between the two leaders can be arranged quickly when necessary, no such contact is currently scheduled.

The spokesperson further emphasized that the US side has not yet informed Russia about the outcome of the discussions held between Zelenskyy and the American envoys.
